Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
My name is Dr. Catherine Lewis, and it is indeed an honor and a privilege to introduce myself as the new principal of Tensas High School for the 2023-2024 school year. As many of you know, I made my mark at Tensas High School two years ago as the English and Language Arts (ELA) teacher for grades 9-12. This past school year, I served in dual roles. I was the Administrative Designee and ELA teacher for grades 9-10. This accomplishment serves as a testament that our school community has dedicated, talented members committed to doing what is in the best interest of our students.
This summer, I plan to work closely with Coach Quinton Powell (who will serve as both the assistant administrator and athletic director), Mrs. Brenda Owens (guidance counselor), and central office administrators to ensure a smooth transition. During this time, we plan to learn more about our school, community, and the unique needs of our students and staff. We are committed to establishing positive traditions and practices that will assist in molding our students into productive citizens in society. My motto is simple: “Let’s Flip This School: Turning the Ordinary into Extraordinary.” I challenge students, parents, faculty, and staff to go above and beyond to exceed expectations in all areas. Together, we can help our children excel and provide them with an education that comes second to none.
Sincerely,
Dr. Catherine Lewis, Principal
